I have watched ambilight videos on Youtube for a long time and I would like to be able to do it at home. I have no experience with Raspberry, I know and use Kodi since it was XBMP on the first xbox. However I would like to use the ambilight for any AV source via HDMI. On the Internet there are some very different tutorials. Some use only Raspberry, others add Arduino. Some use only one power supply, others use two. Not to mention the various types of led strips. The only common thing I've found is that the tutorials are all at least 1 or 2 years old. Before spending money and time in purchasing materials that might be wrong, I would kindly ask you if someone could address me to a valid step by step tutorial.
