Hyperion is also available for Windows, Linux and Mac and there is also internal grabber.

If Hyperion runs on a device without GPIO, you also need a LED controller, e.g. ESP with WLED.

    regards pclin

    Got it, thanks!

So I'll just need the controller, power supply, and LED strip. I see that there are a lot of controllers/strips listed for WLED, would you recommend any specifically?

Also with Hyperion running on Windows, will the data be transferred over WiFi or does the controller get connected with USB to my PC?

Looking to dive into Hyperion soon and want some recommendations based on my hardware. I have a PC with a AW3423DW connected over DP that I want to put the LED strips on. I also have another 5700G based mini PC running Ubuntu Server for Docker. I also have a Raspberry Pi Zero (I think) sitting in a drawer if that could be useful.

What would be the best route to go? All of the guides I've seen recommend a HDMI capture card, but since I'm using my monitor over DP I'm not sure if that's an option. Also, instead of a connecting to a Raspberry Pi running Hyperion, is there any way to run it in a Docker container on my other machine?

    Thanks in advance!
