Thanks for reporting back on your setup! Do you know if the splitter strips out HDCP or copies the HDCP info from the TV as well?

I am looking into using the lightstrip with Netflix 4K and so far only the HDFury combination seems to allow for that.

The only real way to get 4k@60 with HDR10 and HDCP 2.2 is with an HDFury product. You can get an HDFury Linker but I would recommend the more expensive Vertex if you got money to spend (with a Vertex you wouldn't need a splitter). The HDFury products are sadly quite costly but I've got an Linker and it works like a charm. For a HDMI2AV converter, you only got one choice if you don't want to purchase an additional HDCP1.4 stripper because there is sadly only one HDCP1.4 capable converter available at the moment (https://www.ebay.de/itm/332423615718). If you don't really want to build it your self I can recommend you the lightpack products, their 4k should be soon available and would come at the same cost like the build I described you above. EDIT:
There is always the cam option (https://hyperion-project.org/t…on.2615/page-4#post-10624)

It's working on PS4 Netflix @ 4K HDR no problems. If it'd strip out the HDCP info Netflix wouldn't play correct? So it seems to work with that splitter.

I did some more testing and found one issue regarding HDR gaming. It seems that when I make the switch to HDR from non HDR my LED strip starts flashing white. The way I get around it is to have the HDR setting already checked before you launch the game. If I do that it works fine on Windows/PS4. The strip functions correctly after that on HDR. A bizarre issue but not a big deal for me. Everything works when I power everything from Off to On at the same time. No need to connect things in a certain order.

Here's some more info on my setup for anybody who's curious. I'm using APA102 leds and a RPi3. I didn't want to bother with a HDMI switcher. I'm using the downscaler and splitter combo from earlier in the thread. Here's a picture of how everything is connected.

I can confirm that the splitter and scaler I purchased from clearvisionsystems UK works for me. 4K 60HZ 10 bit color. no issues for an hour of play. I used my PC and PS4. It also worked perfectly with HDR. I'll probably post a video in a bit when I get home from work tomorrow.

I appreciate the clarification. Thanks for all your hard work testing all of this. I'll let you know what happens.

I bought that one from HDTV supply - unfortunately it did not work for me even after trying 2 different splitters with EDID management (even the one specifically outlined as working with it on another site). I even tried another scaler from HDTV supply (the $150 one) and that did not want to work either. I wish I knew why.

I've tried a bunch of different devices, which I have been documenting in this thread:

I wish I had better news for you

So did you try to use this exact set from Clear Vision UK? https://www.clearvisionsystems…d-scaler-combination-pack

Or when you said it didn't work did you mean the downscaler and splitter combo in general? I'm talking with them over at Clear Vision trying to find out if it would work but if you tried this exact set from Clear Vision and it didn't work then I'm not going to bother to try.

I haven't got any confirmations yet. But if you think about it, supporting HDR for Hyperion would probably mean to covert 10-bit color signal to 8-bit. It will also required the device to remove the HDR instructions from the main signal. I haven't seen any cheap device that would do this.

I'm going to get the same combo set Dave has and see if it works out with HDR. In the case that it doesn't I'll just settle without HDR and use it for 4K. I'll report back when it gets delivered.
