Also es gibt einige Möglichkeiten zu übersetzen zwischen OpenHab und Hyperion. Allerdings, es ist gefrickel und keine ernsthafte Lösung. Ich fände ein richtiges binding schon spitze. FHEM ist natürlich auch gut. Aber das ist ja das tolle, man hat die Wahl.
Also an alle:
Wenn jemand Lust hat ein OpenHab 2.0 binding zu schreiben und _etwas_ Java kann oder bereit ist sich einzuarbeiten, darf er sich bei mir melden. Ich liefere dann die Hyperion API specs und stehe mit Rat und Tat zur Seite

Or let's go a step back, does your VM has network enabled? Start Hyperion and access it from your Mac. This should work.

I am sorry that i missed this. You build _not_ on MAC but you want to run it on. This is not possible atm. You need to build for Mac on Mac as we use a Mac specific capture component.

Ich sehe gerade, nein du hast nichts verändert. Hm, keine Idee im Moment warum die so hoch ist. Passiert das nur mit v4l2 oder auch mit dem framegrabber, wenn du ihn aktivieren würdest?
Wie ihr seht läuft Hyperion mit einer Load von 45,9%....und das kann ja nicht mehr normal sein.
Es ist durchaus möglich Hyperion bis aufs Zahnfleisch zu beschäftigen
Kann es sein, dass von der usb grabber decimation nicht mehr viel übrig ist und du sehr große Bilder hast? Je kleiner das Bild je geringer die Auslastung, probier das mal aus.
oder kein Signal dann geht die Auslastung hoch
Dann schlägt die "nicht signal erkennung" nicht zu, solltest du nen regenbogen bild bei "kein Signal" haben, lässt sich mit der aktuellen Hyperion version leider nichts machen.

Maybe you could loop the output back to a /dev/video0, this can be captured too. As long your pi don't run out of cpu time
But another pi just for hyperion is possible too.
You don't require a specific pixel size or ratio. I had issues with another ratio than 1:1 on my Pi, but not sure if this is a common problem.

i would recommend to capture the entire picture, so use one Hyperion with one led stripe. Hyperion scales with endless leds, you might run out of cpu power or in case of a arduino also out of resources. Never used myself on a Pi such a huge setup like 1000 leds. This is more a @penfold42 question (?)
The key question is, could you capture on your master pi? As i have no clue how the image is processed with your setup. You could also capture on your debian/ubuntu computer or Mac or even Windows and send it to Hyperion. We have some options here you could play with.
tiny update is possible, as it should remain usable.
I think this pi pwm stuff isn't as great compared to other led controllers we provide. Update for every new hardware revision, really?!

die liegt unter /storage/hyperion, allerdings musst du über ssh auf dein openelec, um den ordner zu finden. Ein Programm für Windows wäre zb WinSCP.
