Currently the av converter is not available...
Yeah but maybe you should not buy that, because it seems to not work, need to experiment a bit, if it will work, i will tell you about it.

this is the one I used in combination with this
converter, in the comments many people claim it works together, I could not verify this until now, I only get a 1080p signal to my TV through this setup.
You don't have to thank me, man. This is what we hobbyist's do. Definitely, mark as solved. This thread has a lot of good info. It will help a lot of people.
Out of curiosity. What video are you following?
Alright, https://www.youtube.com/playli…-wo7zL_YLAbnfqRM5gms-9kJ_ its this Playlist, but it's in german, so I don't know if it helps you.
I don't know much about it. See the first response here maybe? https://github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion/issues/581
If i were you. I would just set to internal framegrabber. Play something on kodi and get that to work before going to the usb grabber.
Yeah, thank you.
I just followed the steps from the video I used to start with, so put on some test Images with Kodi, worked well.
Then I activated the grabber and now it works with my PS4.
Thank you so much.
How can I thank you?
Also should I set this to Solved now? I guess so right?
Is this Kodi connection error normal?
Did the rainbow swirl work?
Yes man, it did, the farthest I have come until now, I love you.:D
even the colorchanges with Hypercon work now, Blue and green are inverted, but thats an easy fix I guess.
So you have the same problem?
so, i looked in the new config i made, for my short strip and it just had some hexadecimal characters, i replaced it with my first one, and got another error.

EDIT:
Seems like I had configured the external video grabber, but for testing i unplugged it.
after removing it from the config i got another issue, everything looks fine until this:

From hypercon, click get log. Copy paste it to a text file and upload.
I think you just solved the problem, it seems like hyperion fails."

Maxcl, I am also facing a very similar issue. Can you share your most recent log file?
sure, can you tell me where i get the log from?
DO you think my Data and Clock wires could be to thin?
tried it now, got the same Issues, I will attach the Wiring on the pi and the LEDs, the actual LED color and the colorwheel in Hypercon.
Ok will try that, now i just have to reinstall libreelec, but raspbians install, caused problems, so i have to look how to format the SD card. Will keep you up to date, when i tried the next strip.
I tested it and got the result, thats expected in the tutorials you send me, so I dont know what i should do, do you think i should try another bit of the led strip?
Good thinking. Start small.
Make sure the spi bus is working. It is possible that it shorted.
This is a good write-up on how to test. ( https://wolfgangklenk.wordpres…king-spi-on-raspberry-pi/ or https://importgeek.wordpress.c…-pi-spi-loopback-testing/ )
thanks, for the quick answer, i cant open any terminal in kodi, so i tried to use WinSCP, but i always get error messages with that, do you have an idea how i can get a working terminal window?
So, I unsoldered the other LED Pieces, to experiment with the First Piece. The LEDs first all had different colours, but i still couldn't change them, after unplugging the power of the Strip and repowering it, only the first was lit in green. I have no Idea, whats wrong.
versuch am besten den Beitrag ins englische zu übersetzen, dann können dir eventuell internationale user helfen.
Could be.
The solder joint's on the input of the led strip could be done better. It look as if the DI &CI wires are very close to the chip contacts.May be to close.
Go over all the joints. A cold solder joint is sometimes very hard to spot.
sorry, close to the chip contacts? Im not quite sure, what you mean by that. This morning when i plugged in the strip, most of the leds lit again, and stayed on. So you suggest its a problem with the data and clock solders? I will try to resolder them, when im home and see what happens.
Thank you for the answer, but now, when the pi is on and I plug the ws2801 strip on the power, the leds flicker for a second and then just one led on the side is on.
Edit: Changed the config file back, and now it flickers for a second and 2 leds stay on, did i wire something incorrectly maybe?
Alles anzeigenHi,
Some tip's that I hope are of help.
Make sure the SPI interface is enabled. Here is a how to if needed. https://www.raspberrypi-spy.co…face-on-the-raspberry-pi/ .
Make sure there is a common ground between the led strip, RasPi and power source(s).
There are some hook up illustrations for ws2801 led strips in This thread (https://hyperion-project.org/t…rom-host.3187/#post-12237). Although the tread addresses a different issue. The illustrations are good. (Do Not ignore the turquoise wire)
Hope it helps.
Thank you very much for your answer.
This is how my Config.txt looks, so the SPI should be activated.
I will also
and this is how i Connected the strip, I use a USB powersource for the Pi, if you want, i can later send you some more Pictures as soon as I come home.
