Update, wired level shiftier into it, failed to fix the problem.
-
Would a level shiftier like this work?
Ether
or ? -
might, but it seems to change colors fine. Has the 3.3v been an issue before? This is the strip I am using.
-
I think so, I flipped the data and clock leads and it made the whole thing stop working. And Right now I am plugged into the male end of the strip.
Edit: do you think it could be a power issue? ether input voltage 3.3 vs 5v or the ac to dc converter only supplying 2amps?
-
yes, the ground lead(blue) is attached to the pi's pin 9.

Here is a Video of the issue, This is a video of me just restarting the pi. Link
Ps: sorry about the dog. -
Yes? I am having trouble restarting Hyperion, sorry not very familiar with Linux.

the whole output of the pi when it boots up? Also The command I was using was hyperion-remote --priority 50 --color red --duration 50000

Hello, I have been working on trying to get Hyperion working with my RPI A+ and a strip of 50 WS2801 LEDs. I have a 2Amp power supply for just the LED's and another power supply for the Pi. When I try to set a solid color though Hyperion The lights start flashing random colors along with random parts of the strip turning on and off. I have no idea whats going on, Any information would be great.
Thanks
