Hi,

I had a working installation. But since a few weeks the grabber stop working every one or two hours.

The log show something like "dev/video0 nt found", swtiching ..."

Restarting the instance make it work for the next one or two hours.

Someone know how i can make a batch that detect this and restart the hyperion instance?

Since I have formant picam and pi3 will give a try to this option. Is this working out of the box with hyperbian or do we need to manually lod picam drivers?

You have to play with signal detection parameter to make the rainbow recognized as "no signal"

ps: avec un pi zero j'ai utilisé la résolution minimal du grabber 720x480 et c'est nickel

Moi ca m'arrivait aussi, c'était entièrement du a des mauvais contacts entre le convertisseur HDMI vers AV, grabber AV, câble de transformation USB vers mini usb (pour le pi zero).. Il suffisait qu'un câble se tende ou détende avec la chaleur pour que cela soit détecté ou non..

J'ai résolu le tout en changeant de grabber AV pour un grabber HDMI (bcp moins de câble, plus besoin d'alimenter un convertisseur hdmi/av).
J'utilise celui-ci avec Hyperion.ng : https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/4000917130635.html (le noir)

Go to Configuration > Capturing Hardware, scroll down to USB Capture window and there is select named "Device Resolution".

Some Loop grabber can work yes, but i'm not expert about wich one is supported. dont forget what Alpha7 told: you need some horsepower to handle 4K input with pi. (by the way a pi zero don't even has usb3 and the required bandwith)

I ordered something like this with only 1080p on aliexpress ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000917130635.html ) to replace the av converter + av grabber that don't work very well (loose connection).
I hope the pi zero will handle it

Hi, I'm interested too

this is the rainbow signal from the grabber. My grabber is powered by the tv usb, so it swich off with the tv. Not the same "problem".

furthermore I will try to use a camera as grabber. More problem to solve before this one :p

Only one cons: when the grabber receive no signal the led stay on.
does Hyperion.NG provide on option toi avoid that?

Is it possible to add brigthness or saturation on low light image?
Exemple: when the movie show a night scene, i want to have some backlight (better for eyes :p )

Bande led chaude tu as peut-être le même soucis que moi: une led HS et la bande led ne se comporte pas bien. Essais avec juste une partie de ta bande

ou juste la led ou ca s'arrete qui est HS. J'ai eu ca moi aussi, j'ai coupé la led a partir de laquelle ca ne va plus et recablé le bandeau et ca marche nickel.

Si just crossing fingers.. A couple of led blow out in 4 months of use..
