    Hello,

I am a bit confused with the new Hyperion. I've found the following Debug Log off the Hyperion Web Configuration but I couldn't find any logs in the Pi using SSH.

As for config, I couldn't find my config file on the Pi either? I was able to export the following from the Web Configuration. I am guessing that Hyperion 2.0 makes it more or less idiot proof?? Either way, I hope this sheds some light on the issue as I am at a loss..

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I cannot seem to get my USB video grabber to work with the new Hyperion. I was using the OG Hyperion with my WS2812b + Arduino Uno and 007chipset usb grabber. I've since got a new tele and decided to update to Hyperion 2 while I was at it. Hyperion works great for effects, no issues there. As soon as I "clear lights" in Hyperion iOS remote, it does some odd things. First it will cut out my HDMI signal for a moment. Sometimes it will try to reboot Hyperion and I have to disconnect the HDMI signal to the HDMI -> RCA converter before it stops the reboot loop. My old config has my USB grabber at /dev/ttyAMC0. When I use the Web Configuration on Hyperion 2, the grabber isn't listed. I see bcm2835-isp-capture0 and bcm2835-isp-capture1, neither of which work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Please let me know what logs or info you need to see to help.

I've restarted Hyperion and this is what I get on a fresh start.

Do you have a log output for us from the incorrect start of a Hyperion effect?

After going through the log files on the clock effect, it appears that the JSON was looking for clock.py when the Python file was named light-clock.py. This has now been sorted. Seems some tweeks need to be made but, at least the effect is running now and not just rebooting Hyperion. Gotta love a log file. Not much info was given on the collision and flags effect though. I've pasted the log below.

I am still interested to see what others have done around this or if anyone has developed any custom effects they would like to share. Happy to share the JSON / PY for the below if it helps. These are just for fun though, not that bothered if they work. I am more interested in the VU meter visualiser and getting this to work with the audio source from the TV.

This is what I get when I run Collision

    Code
ssh in: Aug 01 18:15:06 raspberrypi hyperiond[374]: EFFECTENGINE INFO: run effect Collision on channel 1
ssh in: Aug 01 18:15:06 raspberrypi hyperiond[374]: BLACKBORDER INFO: threshold set to 0.7 (179)

    And when I run Flags

Can anyone please help to point me in the right direction? Recently when using Hyperion, I've been having trouble. While watching video, it will randomly flash the RGB sequence then the Hyperion rainbow and then Hyperion runs for about 10 minutes before repeating. Last night I had to replace the sketch on my Arduino to get the service working again. Now, it doesn't seem to be working at all and the log below is showing errors. Any help is greatly appreciated. What confuses me is, everything has been working fine but recently it appears to be deteriorating by the day.

Thank you @TPmodding in the end I went back to the beginning. Flashed the pi and arduino. I used rasbian Jessie lite on the pi, installed Hyperion and python then used the sketch above and all works perfectly now. No openelec or XBMC / Kodi. Now, when the framegrabber doesn’t see video, I get the multicoloured columns with a no signal box. I’m using EasyCap with 007 chipset. Is it possible to just go to a black screen when no signal is present? I’m having to turn off the LEDs with Hyperion app. Would be nice to tell my google home “OK Google, start Hyperion.” ...anyone? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello, I have read through all the help topics and seem to still be hitting a brick wall. I have followed the redit post here (
https://amp.reddit.com/r/raspb…tv_guide_ws2812neopixels/) When I power everything on, it flashes the RGB sequence that the Arduino is programmed for. I am waiting for the light strip to then do the rainbow swirl from Hyperion and it just stays off. If I try to search for available servers in the Hyperion app, I find my pi, but nothing changes on the LEDs no matter what I click on the app or inside the Hyperion config java program.. Please can someone help shed some light on what I am doing wrong?

I am using the following hardware
    LED WS2812B
    Arduino R3
    Pi 3 B
    Video grabber with UTC007
    HDMI Splitter
    HDMI2AV

all connections should be 100% correct,
video source > splitter > hdmi2av > video grabber > to raspberry pi.

    raspberry pi > Arduino

Arduino pin 5 is to 240ohm resistor then to LED Din and Arduino GND to LED GND

All power run to 5V 10A power supply. Everything appears operational, I just think I'm missing something in the code.

Hyperion.Config.Json is uploaded OpenElec 7.0.1.img to raspberry pi

    below is my sketch

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need me to run any tests, please let me know what code I need to use to run this. I understand how to use Putty, but I don't know any of the commands by heart.
