  • LED not refreshing when playing video in Kodi

    Below is my setup,
    Raspberry Pi 3
    Raspbian
    Hyperion (Hyperion Ambilight Deamon (18524) - Version : V1.03.4)
    Kodi
    WS2811 50 LEDs (Connected directly to Rpi through SPI)

    The light work fine normally (i.e. when I play an youtube video through browser). But, when I play video through Kodi, the lights don't respond and stays static.


    I tried grabbing a screenshot through the hyperion-dispmanx and could see that it is able to grab the picture fine even when Kodi is ON.

    Note: One strange thing I noticed is that, the lights do respond to Kodi, if I keep moving my mouse or when I keep a youtube video running in the background, and play some video in Kodi!
