For now I am testing Hyperion on APA102 LED strip with a density of 133 LEDs/meter (maybe this density is the root of my issue)

I have done some very small adjustment on the colors but they are nearly perfect and match my TV screen.

The problem comes when screen is displaying a bright scene then the LEDs are way to much bright and illuminate the wole room

Of course I could play with the brightness level in Hypercon and reduce it BUT then the issue is that in dark mid-dark scenes colors/brightness are clamped and LEDs simply turns OFF.

I guess what I am for is a kind of non-linear brightness correction that would avoid ultra bright LED level while preserving low brightness one.
Now the question is : is there any existing parameters I can play on that would help me?
Or maybe by editing some config files?

I have installed Hyperion official addon on my C2 running LibreElec v7.90.008 (Krypton beta 5).

With Hypercon, I can successfully SSH to it my C2 but then nothing in Hypercon's interface seems to have effect

So my question is :
Is it supposed to work between Hyperion and Hyperion like it was for me on the Raspberry PI 3 + OSMC?
Or is there incompatibilities?
Then why does Libreelec comes with an Hyperion addon avaible if it is not working?

I am running it on Raspberry PI3 + OSMC

I don't know Linux or a very litle, but like under Windows can't I have something like task scheduler that would start and stop the Hyperion service at given hours?

Maybe I did missed something but is there a way to turn off Hyperion during daylight hours?

Or maybe tell the system to use config A during day and config B at night.

An other question :bigsmile: : as I was uncertain of what circuit I would and with, I did bought an Arduino Uno, just in case....
I now know that APA102 doesn't need it but the question is : would the overall responsiveness/quality of my setup be better using PI+Arduino rather than only the PI alone?

I am wondering if I didn't make a mistake buying 144 leds /m strip for a 40" TV
I haven't received the strip yet and only have the PI3 and also waitting for a 5V26A Meanwell PSU.

I am wondering if all those led (390 total :ninja: ) won't ending producing too much light.

I have also a doubt regarding the PI connections to the strip : can I realy plug the signal wire diretly to it or does it need what you call "level shifter"?
