    first thank you for your answer, i really appreciate this :)


    1. ok i just thought its interesting because it shows that there is a chance the LED's turn off, in all other cases the LED's are always on. Even if i Disconnect the RPi.


    2. no i dont use a levelshifter , is it possible that this causes the always on effect?


    3. thank you! you were totally right! i connected the other end and now the LED are all white. But the main problem is still the same :(


    4. when i want to take a picture from the internal grabber it says this is not possible.

  • WS2812b always on white to red color

    Hi Guys,


    i'm new here to this forum and couldnt find a solution to my problem. I know that there are many errors with this setup and i'm probably going to use an Arduino in the future but it's really bothering me because i think its just a little problem.


    So i've set up an RPi 3 Modell B with OpenELEC and 5m of WS2812b LED (only rough version).


    I've connected the Data line to Pin 19 (SPI) and configured everything in HyperCon. The LED's are working but they always remain in a state of shining from white to red. (as you can see in the picture) I can send a color change per SSH in Hypercon and it works too but just a second an then the LED's go back to white to red.


    I can even use the Android App but its still the same, all Effects and Color changes remain only a second an then it goes back to white --> red.


    I've noticed that i can use the Effect "UDP listener" in the App and the LED goes off. But if i use another effect or color change it blinks again back to white --> red.


    The Hypercon Log looks quite good also


    I really hope someone has a hint for me :)
