I have the exact same setup. Rpi3 running berryboot with OSMC + w2812b led + NodeMCU from the tutorial you mentioned. It runs the old Hyperion with HyperCon. It runs nicely even with the utvf0007 grabber. I tried making it work with the Hyperion.ng, but I cannot make the Rpi send data to the nodeMCU. I tried UDPraw and tweaked the ports but no luck. Do I have to reflash the nodeMCU or I just need to select a different device type ?
