haben das problem gefunden
user pi kann unter buster lite nicht auf /dev/mem zugreifen
root allerdings schon, also läuft hyperion.ng jetzt als root
haben versucht vor dem kopilieren in deiner config alles von /dev/mem auf /dev/gpiomem umzuschreiben und zu komilieren, aber etwas hat dann mit make install nicht funktioniert.
haben aber nicht weiter geforscht, sonder den user root belassen
jetzt ist zwar noch flickering da aber da mach ich mich erst die tage dran.

i compiled hyperion.ng on my rpi3b+ with rasbian buster lite

and used

post nr33 for setting up hyperion.service
everything works until i want to set up ws2812b pwm stripes
all wired correctly, because the libreelec+hyperion.ng works flawless.
i always get this error:
Device disabled, device 'ws281x' signals error: 'Failed to open. Error message: mmap() failed'
any idea? please let me know, thank you

plus 1Amax 4kuhd hdr hdmi switch plus 0,5Amax HDMI2AV
the 256 is just the max led count for the bus, not the actual led count

i have no clue what i did, but reflashing and installing libreelec and hyperion and using another rpi3b+ seemed to work and it works now.
what do you mean with classic one on gpio12?

my name is dominik and i am new to this forum.
i have a strange problem and i do not get this fixed since 3 days.
hardware:
rpi3b+
ws2812b stripes
meanwell LPV-100-5 PowerSupply 5v/12A
software:
libreelec with hyperion.ng
the startup/boot animation works flawless, but then it flickers or does nothing at all.
i have tried almost everything ive come up with, including:
-new wiring/soldering (maybe 8-10 times?)
-changing powersupply on stripes and rpi
-setting the led hardware on everything and using new sd card on the pi
-removing first and last led on the stripes in case of short circut damage
-new wiring and soldering
-unpluging everything many times
-using old hyperion wich seems to work even less
-help
-new wiring
-power from both sides
-using new stripes
hyperion is set to "led test" all the time, and it even shows me in the preview that the leds should be on "led test"
led hardware is set to the right number of leds i think
i just want them to act normal, i really dont know if this is a software or hardware problem and im losing my sanity after being straight 3 days here after word trying to fix this
please send help.
