the box>> its a arduino clone , prebuild sketches don't work for that in Hyperion.NG
even when you select Adalight for Arduino it doesn't work ( barely)
the controller and leds you purchased are meant for using directly on a USB port of your TV set.

It works! You are the best!
you're welcome man
Already tried different values with no effect
in Screengrab Hyperion Windows its Adapter 0 Monitor 0 > did you try that?
the other settings thats now on automatic need a static one.
so
FPS > 15 or lower
resolution ( begin lowest possible and build-up)
video standard > PAL or NTSC
decimation > between 4 and 12
if that doesnt help your capturing device is not getting a image
* bump * other tutorials are soon coming!
and in Led Preferences
Enable automatic brightness limiter -> LED voltage (Max. current for a single LED)
What's that setting? It's only there in alpha 2.09?
I dont remember to see an option to set the capture device as camera
its there, trust us.
i can not show you because i am running a whole diffrent Hyperion.NG version, it's not in there > WebUI
so i see in your post that you are testing the complete strand of lights of 5 mtr/ 60leds mtr to se if they react.
you have only programmed 160 leds yes In hyperion?
First i would recommend; make your setup/cut the lights > solder them at 2 sides GND/+5volts and connect that together to PSU.
THEN TEST
Would there be an option in the settings that turns off the LED if brightness is less than say 5% ?
Issue One: every 10 sec a white flash happens.
Issue two: image disappears but sound continues.
1; can be a GND grounding problem, connect all your GND to PSU also from diffrent kind of PSU. Use more then one groundPIN on PI
2; already explained in above post
i don't remember to see the option to set it as a camera, i am using this device:
that LOOP device for capturing is much used by much members,
to have it succesfully being detected with Hyperion.NG you have to set the USB grabbing settings in WEbUI NOT on USB but to camera.
If you don't do that then on USB device/0 the grabber" fades and redetects all the time.
starters,
if you used a LOOP capture device , set device type on Camera. Set every setting in USB grabber menu on static/not automatically
more info please,
what kind of PSU/ledstrip/pi/ Hyperion.ng type, OS type , ledcontroller type
What GPIO did you use, how many LEDs, did you use any Arduino or other MCU ,
Give us info please
PWM0, which can be set to use GPIOs 12, 18, 40, and 52. Only 12 (pin 32) and 18 (pin 12) are available on the B+/2B/3B
PWM1, which can be set to use GPIOs 13, 19, 41, 45 and 53. Only 13 is available on the B+/2B/PiZero/3B, on pin 33

goodluck!
Actually i''m wondering with one is the best config since there are no ws2813 listed in the led options
i think thats also the problem for the build-in SPI controller in Hyperion.NG, the strip is not recognizing the controller'
the strip only detects the ws281X controller on PWM it seems, so you have to run on PWM
you have to first do something else.
You need to run hyperion as root with this configuration (device 'ws281x) PWM
go to your terminal
sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/hyperiond@.service
Remove the User sessionline and save with CTRL+O and exit CTRL+x.
Don't forget to reboot…
after this select a diffrent PWM GPIO, i never rumbled with this so you have to find out for yourself
it has to be on GPIO ( not GPIO 18) and in Hyperion.NG settings not PWM0
if you look at remote section is the LEd device running?
PIns 19 data and 23 clock?
how should I tinker the values of the colors?
go from a basic point of view, the best results ( most accurate colours you can achieve) with a couple of pointers.
now try with the RGB Gamma and paused video to achieve the colours, it has to be really simple now
reminder; every time you change this an other colour can go off.
its almost impossible to have all the ledcolours exactly matched with your TV.
If you can't get the right results with only Gamma RGB settings then try to set each colour individually, but its not my way to do this.
note; step 3/4 is really important because the captured image into Hyperion.NG translates the correct colours for the leds... if those in beginning don't match with your tv its hard to set them right in Hyperion.NG..
note2; take your time for this, it can take hours or even days.
goodluck!
hello Pedro Teixeira
good that you had it working! but there is a fault in your setup; >>> remove that red wire connector (PIN2 ) from the PI completely,
because you are using USB power on the PI you don't need the power the PI extra.
2 diffrent +5 volts is coming together and clashing, so remove that immediatelly!
i hope you didn't hurt the PI
@jeroen warmerdam You don't have Washed colours when you send HDR ?
not anymore since my last post,
i managed to switch my TVIP box from LinuxQT to run on Android version 8
here you can alter a setting into droid, HDR > SDR ON and SDR > HDR OFF
now i can watch 4K content because the HDR droid is filtering out, works very well.
i don't care about that HDR anyway, i only bought the 4K tv because of funds and covid time ( to spend on myself a little)
i can not make a .gif in 100kb thats 128x128 pixels wide, its too small or to big
well, scratch that.......... its possible but you have to work hard for that
