  • Dropouts at HDMI as soon as I start hyperion



    you can run a second LED configuration instance in Hyperion, make a second LED instance and select.


    then run the wanted instance right above in Hyperion web page, with green dot ( icon of two arrows)


    then it"ll run your second instance.




    so you can make two diffrent configurations with in one the internal grabber and in two the external.
    in this way you are not corrupting the Json file which is really sensitive for changes in it :)



    tip; before you do this make a backup of your Json so when second instance goes bad then you can turn back to default.

  • LEDs not turning on RPi4 + Hyperbian + SK9822

    use the same powersupply for everything, then ground them together. Make sure your voltage not exceeds too far or go under 5 volts too much,
    sometimes with bad powersupply (DC isn't that clean and has some AC running there also) that is not electronic but cheap the lights will never light,
    they are really sensitive for a good/clean exactly 5 volts.


    i myself use a PSU of a pc which don't have that problems and produce a really clean and steady 5 volts with absolutely no AC rimple in it.
    especially the more easy and not powerfull PSU will have that problem. ( chances is there)

    seconds, Sk9822 is just a clone of the APA102 you can also choose this ledstrip if nothing still not working.


    thirth, you connect it okay but better is it to solder the joints to the pins. The voltage of those pins is really weak so with every resistance you have on the connection there is a chance of not getting its DO/CLK signal out.


    fourth, use a multimeter to measure your voltages and connections would be my tip.

    installeren van Hyperion.NG op Raspbian/Debian Buster e.a


    1. image downloaden Raspbian/Debian buster, welke je wilt.
    2. image schrijven naar SD kaart, niet formatteren!
    3. schuif deze in je PI en boot deze totaan installatiewizard
    4. juiste settings maken en zet VNC/SPI/SSH en andere zaken aan, je kan dit (ook) in sudo raspi-config doen
    5. Ip adres noteren van de PI, daarna rebooten
    6. Ga op je PI naar https://github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion.ng/releases en pik een versie uit die dit heeft>> Hyperion-x.x.x-alpha.x-Linux-armv7hf-rpi.deb
    7. download deze en zet deze in je PI directory neer, bijv home/pi/testmap
    8. open je terminal op je PI via SSH-putty of via VNC programma ( VNC uitleg volgt later)
    9. voer in;


    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get upgrade


    sudo apt-get install git cmake build-essential qtbase5-dev libqt5serialport5-dev libqt5sql5-sqlite libqt5svg5-dev libqt5x11extras5-dev libusb-1.0-0-dev python3-dev libcec-dev libxcb-image0-dev libxcb-util0-dev libxcb-shm0-dev libxcb-render0-dev libxcb-randr0-dev libxrandr-dev libxrender-dev libavahi-core-dev libavahi-compat-libdnssd-dev libjpeg-dev libturbojpeg0-dev libssl-dev zlib1g-dev
    sudo apt-get install libraspberrypi-dev


    dit allemaal uitvoeren en wachten, misschien heb je ze niet allemaal nodig maar teveel is niet erg :)


    10. installeren van de deb.file>> sudo dpkg -i /path/to/Hyperion-x.x.x-alpha.x-Linux-armv7hf-rpi.deb
    als je file bv op home/pi/testmap staat dan is de code: sudo dpkg -i /home/pi/testmap/Hyperion-x.x.x-alpha.x-Linux-armv7hf-rpi.deb
    als je deze geinstalleerd hebt dan zou hij het moeten doen.
    11. systeem rebooten en Hyperion.NG zou automatisch moeten starten.
    12. ga naar je localip:8090 en maak je changes!



    note; VNC server ( op bv Raspbian buster full) is voor remote desktop functie, als je deze wilt gebruiken dan moet je VNC viewer installeren op je pc en een account aanmaken> als je dit gedaan hebt en de installatiewizard hebt doorlopen kan je jouw pi als het ware als een 2e scherm naar je toe halen.
    zo kun je dus je desktop zien van je Pi ( mits ie deze heeft) en alle installatie heel makkelijk doen. )

    nee het zijn een stuk meer stappen, wat ik had gepost was een kopie van een post van iemand anders.
    ik heb het nu uitgezocht wat je moet doen, ik zal voor jou en mezelf een howto maken met de stappen.


    zodat als je het nog eens moet doen een naslag hebt,


    ik heb deze installatie gemaakt op Debian buster full met alle opties.
    geen Hyperbian of andere os, weet dus ook niet of dat bij jou gaat met Libreelec.

    kies ook een USB 2.0 device en geen high speed 3.0 USB device.
    hoewel de PI en OS er misschien wel mee kan omgaan voor de safe side gaan en 2.0 nemen,
    daar ga je niets van merken + dat USB 3.0 devices veel nieuwer zijn.
    dus dan loop je kans dat het device té nieuw is voor het OS/hardware

    unable to enumerate USB device, betekent uit je log; Wordt niet herkend, de PI kan niet verbinden met de vendor ID/geen verbinding mogelijk.
    ID is dus niet bekend, daarom komt ie ook niet voor in je list met lsusb commando.



    het enige wat je kan doen (mijn inziens) is een andere grabber nemen en wat je nu hebt gebruiken als splitter :)
    ik zal even voor je kijken wat je moet/kan gebruiken.

    dit is een loop device die je hebt gekocht, dat betekent dat het device de image ervanaf stript' en de rest doorlaat bij HDMI output.


    je hebt jouw usb toch aangesloten vanaf je device op de PI?? dat is namelijk waar je beeld naartoe gaat.
    als dat via een HUB loopt/externe usb voeding dan kan dat weleens voor problemen zorgen.
    als ik jouw was sloot ik hem direct aan op de PI zonder die externe voeding en verhoog mijn usb power


    vertel eens precies hoe het zit of maak eens een foto svp

    daarna commando invoeren zonder grabber in de USB port;
    sudo dmesg -C



    daarna
    dmesg



    als er wat aan de hand is met/omtrent je grabber dan kan je dat hier zien,
    mocht het zijn dat je power uit je USB poort niet voldoende is dan zie je hier niets want dan werkt je grabber helemaal niet.
