Of lekker ouderwets ipv streamen Bluraydisc.
LG55c7
PS4 PRO
Ziggo next
Nvidia Shield.
Pioneer VSX-832 receiver.
Alles anzeigenBeste Jeroen,
klinkt heel goed idd!!!
wget -qO- https://git.io/JU4Zx | bash
relais 2 zijdig,
A schakelt hoofdpuls ATXvoeding ( toggle)
B schakelt UTV007grabber + voeding (toggle)
eigenlijk vrij simpel, de how to compile hyperion.NG gevolgd van Paulchen Panther dev.
you can check latency by looking at your tv channel and at the same time to Led Visualisation/ live video. If there is lag there the tv channel must be faster then the rendered image to Hyperion.
Alles anzeigenI tested without the expected results even with the bitrate set to 500,000
I also tested it without the expected results, I can still see a ~second delay in what is displayed on the screen and the responses of the leds.
Looking at these tests, I suspect a video grabber even more.
Let's also take into account that the video grabber I ordered came in a different shape than on the website (more slim with no scraps on the sides like a USB flash drive). Maybe these "basic and cheap" noname video grabbers are like a lottery, and it could get better or worse.
Hence my request, could you recommend a good video grabber that you use yourself, for example?
I am looking for something with good latency and comatible with usb2.0
It may be worth mentioning that I do not use any video splitters etc. The signal goes directly from the computer's graphics card via HDMI and the signal to the monitor via Display port (duplicate screen on outputs)
on Rpi3/ hyperion.NG / Buster
I am using a HDMI to RCA analog converter > to UTV007 ( really simple grabber, like 8 euro's) on USB2.0, i show you my settings of the ledconfig
size decimation is between 3 and 4
maybe has to do with PI arm and power settings, thats all i can think off. (cpu cant render the images at full speed) ?
look at the bold sections that is important for higher clockspeed and usb power on the PI

goodluck!
indeed, normally 5v 10A powersupply should be enough.
I have a digital meter in my setup so i can check how much V/A the setup is using, with only 96 leds its quite high already> with the PI and leds its 6,5 Amps.
so you see it uses more then you think combined with sometimes poor powersupplys which will cave in voltage if you use full power then you see what i mean.
The PI alone uses around 1 Amps when its full running.
Also the leds don't like any voltage below 5 volts, this can happen when current is [too] high on powersupply ( which is not strong enough) and thus voltage will drop..
decide what you do with this, hope it helps.
Alles anzeigenOk, so Hyperion is always on cause the capture card is always transmitting something, is there a turn off by inactivity setting or something I could do?
This is what I'm getting while the HDMI source is off. And of course, I see colored bars in the LED strip
I have Hyperion installed on Raspbian on a RPi 4
My last resource will be a switch/plug controlled by Hassio to remove the power source of the strip, but that's a bit lame. Any idea is very much welcome.
Thanks a lot
on the webbrowser [8090] you can [disable hyperion] on tab Dashboard, this disables your led,s but service is still running and maybe is a little hassle to do that on tablet or laptop every time.. . or you connect with putty/SSH or VNC and use SSH code below but hassle is still there
i used a workaround before because the autostart service didn't want to execute on my system, so i did it with a phone ( my Rasbian knowledge isn't high)
so scrolled around on the web and then found a way.
OPTION;
you can also try an app Raspberry SSH lite on your tablet/phone, in the app you can program a button with CMD text for turning Hyperion on and off,
ON
CMD text; hyperiond
OFF
CMD text; sudo killall hyperiond (only works when autostart/restart systemd is NOT active ) otherwise Hyperion will restart after few seconds.
reboot PI
CMD text; sudo reboot
These commands you put into a separate button, this app synchronizes with your services on the Raspi, just use a good local network with same IP range and the same ip adres for every button that you're programming.
With the OFF command Hyperion should quit completely and therefor also terminating GPIO's output data that should turn off your lights.
good luck
Thanks to a bit of trial and error, some unnecessary purchases, and a bunch of people who are way smarter than I am, I have a working setup. It's really great and was well worth the effort. I have just two questions that are somewhat related.
I noticed in the software that there's a section in the Image Processing page that talks about profiles. I can add profiles but can't figure out how to dynamically switch between them. Anyone know how this is done?
Also, when viewing HDR content the captured video is way off in color. I'm trying to fix that issue with a different profile. I figured out that by adjusting the gamma settings I was able to get pretty close to accurate LED colors. I just need to know how to switch the profiles.
hello,
On the webbrowser (port 8090) on Hyperion.NG
go to General > LED Hardware Instance Management in the menu tree and > make a new profile. Run the new profile and then switch to this profile by following the explanation text:
"Use multiple LED hardware setups at the same time. Each instance runs independently which allows you to set different LED layouts and calibration settings. Running instances can be selected from the icon in the top menu bar"
go to the top right in the bar and press the two arrows and you can select the new profile that you are running, now you can explore diffrent settings and types of LEDs without destroying your original settings.
If i see your setup then i would ditch the separate powersupply on your Raspi, just use the 10A 5v powersupply for that and ground everything on GND. Speaking of that, i would use a much more powerfull 5v then only 10A max, if possible ditch also the arduino you don't need it for 5v LEDS. I use for my setup a 35A on a ATX powersupply. Hope this helps
Alles anzeigenHey guys .... I'm at my whits end.
I've ordered several of the USB capture device that is linked all over the place, I've ordered one from eBay, and I've ordered 5 different ones from amazon. They all literally show up as the same device, lsusb: "534d:0021"
Some have UTVF007 on their chip, others are counterfeit, or have different chipsets. None have worked.
I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3, I've tried RasPlex, LibreElec, OSMC, RaspberryOS, etc ... nothing changes between the OS's.
I have max_usb_current=1 set in boot.txt
I also seem to be fighting with a faulty APA102 LED strip .... everything seems to point to the first LED being bad or something, I have to experiment more with them.
I had the same problem with the big search of different grabbers, fighting with hypercon and did it all but found the sollution.
The problem is the software, upgrade your Hyperion.SH to the new one Hyperion.NG and your UTVF007 grabber will work. You can find the software for Hyperion.NG by connecting the PI to the internet and with a fresh install ( Debian/Buster) it will run fine. The problem is not the grabbers but the really sensitive coding in Hyperion.SH
The new software Hyperion.NG is way better and runs flawlesly BUT, it takes much more effort to install correctly onto your PI.
