I believe you are limited to only network attached grabbers, like the android grabber and only network attached LED device drivers. as in Wled device's.

When using HaOS you are limited to using docker containers and cant easily install stuff on the underlying OS.

You could try the Hyperion add-on for HaOS https://community.home-assista…add-on-hyperion-ng/226850 .

Or you could do a manual install of the Home Assistant on top of a Linux system then you well have full control of the underlying OS.

It is possible to install Hyperion on other single board computers as well. as log as in has a standard Linux distro available for it to run and install Hyperion.

My work around is Patience.

The folks that maintain the HA Hyperion integration still work on it when they can. I would bet the next HA update would have the updated integration that works with Alpha 10.

I use APA102 led's as well.

Adding a level shifter to my setup made a huge difference. It helps to boost the signal from the Pi to the leds.

I all so use about 1.5 meters of shielded wire that runs from the Pi to the leds.

Now with all that said and done. I do not have any extremely EMI noisy appliances/fans around the house.

The relay switch for my boiler sometime well pop good EMI burst that i can sometime notice if the screen is on a menu or non motion screen.

But the above step did help the most for me. May be for you as well?

Fit ferrite rings to the motor leads. to suppress/shield the EMI.

Or simply install the missing package.
I'm guessing the missing package for your install was "libcec4", because I needed to install that for my Rpi with alpha9 as well.

sudo apt-get install libcec4

Will install missing package.

Yes, I had forgotten that I had the 2 halves positive line separated and the grounds connected. effectively each supply powers it's own half..

How are you planing to drive the apa102s, from raspberry pi gpio's ( then you would choose the apa102 control type)
Or from a arduino that will drive the leds? (then you choose the adalight controller type and the hook up go's like this: Flash arduino with hyperion firmware, found at the projects github. Wire leds to arduino gpio, use a usb cable to connect the arduino to computer running hyperion.)

It's in a (not human readable) database file. However you can Export/import your config to a file.

Go to config web page Configuration/General on the page you'll see "Import/Export Configuration"

The OSMC bump in the road that a lot of people hit is forgetting to enable SPI mode.

This is done under the "Myosmc" menu within OSMC.

Probably missing SSL dev packages.

"sudo apt-get install libssl-dev" to install the package.

In OSMC there is a config utility for Rpi options, within the menus called "My OSMC" there well be a option to enable the SPI interface pins. Make sure its enabled.

I've had a couple of leds on my apa102 strip blow out in the middle of the strip as well, in the 3ish years of use.
probably just luck of the draw.
My reasoning is, If you have a strip of 150+ leds, chances are good a couple of them well be iffy and not caught by quality control.

But then your making a 72 led per meter strip out of a 144 led strip. They are sellers of 72 led per meter strips, Would it not be easier to get a different count led strip, say a 60 led per meter (which I think is more then enough for ambient TV lights) and save the 144 strip for another project?
