Hello everyone,
I just freshly installed hyperion on my debian server (gigabyte brix).
I plugged a usb capture grabber to the server, the LED are adressed via WLED.
Everything works fine - however, I was quite shocked when I checked my system load - since the system is running it was constantly at around 0.8 and around 50% Kernel Usage with spikes up to 100%.
I played a bit with the settings and I found out the CPU Load is directly linked to the video capture grabber - If i turn it off in the settings the CPU load instantly goes down to an insignificant load.
--> Is there anyway to automatically put the capture USB-input out when there is no signal?
(I fear no because the grabber needs constantly to check wether or not there is a signal to put the LED on / off, but maybe there is a way I cant think off now),
Second question is regarding the "ideal" settings.
Currently I use the following settings
- YUYV as encoding format
- resolution of 640x480 at 25 frames per second
- size decimation of 8
Works for me - question is: Can I optimize something or just "dont touch a running system" ?
Many Thanks in advance and Best Regards
