Generic question on how Hyperion works

  • I would was thinking about getting 6500K LEDs behind my monitor for color accuracy work, but I still find the idea of having Hyperion styled active LEDs. Would it be possible to manage white LEDs with Hyperion to for example change the brightness based on what's shown on screen?

    Yes.

Hyperion reads average color and brightness from an image area.

How you then adjust the colors is up to you.

It is therefore also possible to control the LED only white and only change the brightness.

    SK6812 RGBW-CW 60 LED/m are well suited for this.
