Lights dont turn on on first computer boot?

I have a strip of Cololight leds on my monitor and when i boot my computer they almost always dont turn on, even though the program is running and all the settings should be on. It looks like it just cant connect to the lights? I get No Devices Discovered in led output. But whenever I restart my computer, it works without fail? Not sure what the problem is but if anyone knows how to get it working on first boot that would be awesome.
