capture device not being recognized

  • My capture card isn't being recognized in the Hyperion web interface and I don't know how to fix it.

Its being recognized on the pi but not in Hyperion and I don't want to have to buy a new one.

I'm using a j5create HDMI to USB adapter.

I've tried plugging into all the different USB's that the pi has and then restarting Hyperion but it hasn't worked.

  • how would i do that? OBS?

i plugged it in and opened device manager the highlighted one is the capture device

but when I go into OBS the device does not popup

here is what I get when running lsusb for the device

    hyperion@raspberrypi:~ $ lsusb -v -d 0711:5600

  • His,

this device is an output device, you can connect a monitor to it. Look at the feature list, first point. You will need an input device for hyperion, even if it looks the same this device will not work.
