I rather wanted a picture including the cables
Here
The console output is very strange.
Here is my console output from a utv007 grabber with the same cables:
You can try switching between the two inputs:
or
Just start hyperion after the change and see what happens.
If nothing happens, I recommend changing the grabber.
Since I don't have the hardware, I can't do anything for you. Sorry
Yes we have the same output.
Weird. Mine still isn't working. Well, bearing in mind that when I first installed NG and everything was set to auto like you and all worked well, then it stopped working despite troubleshooting/reinstalling etc I can only conclude that it's faulty.
I've got an STK on order (has been for over a week) but they still haven't dispatched. If they don't dispatch tomorrow, I'm just gonna grab one from Sun Stars on Ali.
I'm also running 2.0.0-alpha.6maybe that's the difference?
Same
Do you have an other PI where you can test the USB gabber? I can switch the grabber between my pi's and they work.
Al tough we have the same chip, mine was advertised as a UTV007 and uses a easycap style case. So maybe there is still some differences?
Yes, I have already checked. The result is the same on both and my Ubuntu laptop. Mine was advertised as the STK1160, and by the time I received it, "STK1160" had been removed from the listing, so I think they knew it was not. I already got a refund for it. I sent the seller the lsusb screenshot and they refunded without question. I have ordered another unit from a different supplier. I will see what happens when it arrives.
The STK is here! And it really is an STK:
Problem is, I cannot get it to work. I am getting these errors:
[hyperiond V4L2:/dev/video0] (ERROR) Frame too small: 827264 != 829440

I have tried 0-3.. but the output is black in the preview...
Any ideas?
What is that supposed to mean?
"Hey Bob! Switch to NG!"?
I am.. as mentioned at the start of this thread. In fact, alpha 6.
"And get an STK1160 or UTV007!"
Ok, done...
I know this is alpha stage, but if it's what you're recommending then there's not much I can do because that's what I'm running..... HyperBian in fact.
Seems like NG has some real issues around hardware detection/use.
This is definitely a bug. I have just re-imaged the SD with HyperBian and it's working again..... Exact same settings. All I change is UDP for WLED, set number of LEDs and turn platform cap off.
thats why it is still in alpha...we still tinker arround and fix bugs
I get this... but if your solution is to use the alpha and it doesn't work...
paulchen fixed some v4l2 issues on github, which will be in alpha 7
if you want you can test it https://github.com/hyperion-pr…ng/actions/runs/139021111
