so nothing spectaculair,
recommended settings sk9812 RGBW ledstrip;
- running SPI ledcontroller, device 0 SPI 0
- GPIO 10
- baudrate quite high 5900000
- no levelsifter needed
- white algorythm, white colour is OFF
-
dagloadone: You use the SK6812-RGBW but turn off the white algorithm.
Then the white color is only created from RGB, right? Or other reason?
-
i just did turn white off because i got the best color Results
but i got another Issue... i accidentially formated my SD card and had to install hyperbian again... i used my settings from before and now it doesn´t work anymore. Just the first LED is lighting up but it´s also not doing what it should do.
-
i accidentially formated my SD card
how do you do that
-
just don´t ask xD
my brother took it and thought it wasn´t important so he formated it to use it for his 3D printer
-
but i´m curious why it´s not working now... i didn´t change the Wires and i used my old settings that worked before
-
u are using a Json file from the old setup or just import the settings manually into localIP:8090 WebUI ?
-
i imported them manually
-
i think you forgot the first thing from Mike72
is SPI enabled in config.txt and is leddevice running?
dtparam=spi=on
SK6812 are more sensitive. Try this. You can change this in the console.
sudo nano /boot/cmdline.txt
Add this at the end of the same line, but don't forget space, otherwise the RPi may not start anymore!
spidev.bufsiz=1024000
Save it!
Next deactivate the audio output (runs via PWM) in the config.txt, usually just remove the # in front of it.
-
#uncomment to overclock the arm. 700 MHz is the default.
#arm_freq=800# Uncomment some or all of these to enable the optional hardware interfaces
#dtparam=i2c_arm=on
#dtparam=i2s=on
dtparam=spi=on# Uncomment this to enable infrared communication.
#dtoverlay=gpio-ir,gpio_pin=17
#dtoverlay=gpio-ir-tx,gpio_pin=18# Additional overlays and parameters are documented /boot/overlays/README
# Enable audio (loads snd_bcm2835)
dtparam=audio=off[pi4]
# Enable DRM VC4 V3D driver on top of the dispmanx display stack
dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d
max_framebuffers=2[all]
#dtoverlay=vc4-fkms-v3d -
and yes led device is on

i´m so frustrated... i tried everything and it still doesn´t work... i even connected the Level switcher again, tried different LED controllers, different Pins, checked all Connections on the hardware but i can´t get it to work... the irritating thing is that before the SD-card reset everything worked completely fine
-
A few sharp pictures of your connections could help us to understand your issue better...
-
i know my soldering looks like shit but it works (i tested all the connections)
the red wire from the Rasperry pi goes directly into the LED strip (the middle connector)
those orange wago things are just to get Power into every corner of the LED strip and the Power supply ist also connected to those... i also measure 5.12 Volts on the LED strip.
i disconnected the Level switcher as it worked before without it.
-
dagloadone: I can't see GND connection on the RPi GPIOs...
Do you have two power supplies? One for the Pi and one for the LEDs?
If there so, connect the GND (-) from the LED PSU to a GND pin from the RPi.
-
yea i got two seperate supplies... i´m gonna try that
-
okay it still doesn´t work... just the first led is lighting up green
-
just the first led is lighting up green
okay, not much better, but a few steps away...
ps: I see you have german menu language in Hyperion... can we talk german?
-
Ja natürlich... gerne
