No http web frontent when using "debian_bullseye_server_linux6.1.31"

  • Hi,
    after I have successfully installed Hyperion on "debian_bullseye_desktop_xfce_linux6.1.31" :) , I tried to install it on "debian_bullseye_server_linux6.1.31".

    Unfortunately, I can´t reach the http web frontend at port 8090/8091 on server version ;(.
    I am a newbie in Linux and can´t find any tutorial how to find and install the missing service.
    Hope that someone can help.

    On a Linux with Xserver, no service file is installed.

    Hyperion starts like any other program.

  • Hi pclin #2,
    thank you for your reply.

    Maybe I did something/explained wrong.

    hypersion service is starting automatically I think.
    After command: service hyperion@root status
    I get:
    ● hyperion@root.service - Hyperion ambient light systemd service for user root

    Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/hyperion@.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)

    Active: activating (auto-restart) (Result: exit-code) since Sun 2024-02-11 12:15:27 CET; 1s ago

    Docs: https://docs.hyperion-project.org

    Process: 2147 ExecStart=/usr/bin/hyperiond (code=exited, status=127)

    Main PID: 2147 (code=exited, status=127)

    CPU: 8ms

    I followed your advice and added the directory: .config/autostart

    the file: hyperion.desktop

    with conten:

    [Desktop Entry]

    Type=Application

    Name=hyperion

    Exec=hyperion

    StartupNotify=false

    Terminal=true

    command: chmod +x hyperion.desktop

    Unfotunately, I still can´t reach hyperion under IP:8090/8091

    What did I wrong?

    Start Hyperion in the console

    /usr/bin/hyperiond -d

    Attach the output as a .txt file.
