I am new to hyperion.
Sometime it works, but many times it just blinks/flashing, why is that?

I'm still new here but it sounds like it could be a power issue.
How is your wiring setup? That could probably help.

I think this is the reason, so not enough power for the video capture device.

Or signal that cannot be processed by the video capture device.

My setup is this:
RPI4
Optagekort videooptager med loop out 1080p (infshop.dk)
and a
Chromecast med Google TV – Google Store
best regards Tue.
Just turn the chromecast to 1080p 60hz instead of 50hz
That seems to help, right now.

How come your live view is so HD like? isn't that putting more stress on your Pi?
My view looks like minecraft / pixelated but that seems enough to make it work, I am using a Pi 1 though -=/
Besides the suggestion above from pclin, I would check the voltage, I recently had so many issues and it ended up being my PSU dropping to 3.2 volts.

The resolution in post #5 is set too high!
In post #3 it looks like HDCP signal.

I'm having the exact same issue with the same capture card, I just thought it's because my pi zero wasn't fast enough, did you find a solution?
