HDCP 2.2 Splitter (Sky Q)

  • Hi, I'm using a Android Grabber setup, everything works well apart from DRM and HDCP 2.2 sources. I'm not too fussed about DRM support, but wondering what is the best splitter I can use with my Sky Q box connected via my AVR HDCP 2.2 HDMI. It should output 4k@60fps HDR10.

    Current Setup:

    • ESP32 WLED
    • Android Hyperion Grabber
    • Denon AVR-X2300W
    • Sony Android TV / Shield TV

I'm looking for a inexpensive (under 20) simple setup. Will this splitter work to pass through?:

Here is my AVR, it has 2 Monitor Outs via HDCP 2.2:

    Thanks

You need a splitter that has 4K 60Hz, HDCP 2.2, EDID management and scaler, the UGREEN is an HDMI switch, since you have an AVR (to which your devices are connected?) you don't need a switch.

Under 20 you won't find anything, Grabber 10, Splitter about 40

I don't know any of the 3 spitters so all you can do is try and report back.

In terms of features it could be suitable.

  • I will report back with findings.

Just one more question, does it have to be 2 outputs or it can be just 1?

    Thanks

    Splitter = 1 IN 2 OUT

    OUT 1 > TV

    OUT 2 > Grabber

  • Can I not make do without a grabber? I'd rather just use the Android grabber app with a splitter instead, if possible.

everything works well apart from DRM and HDCP 2.2 sources

  • Does the Capture Card have to match the same resolution as the splitter, or can I get away with a 1080p version?

    Thanks
