Hi,
could you please provide more infos...which hyperion version...which config etc...
Yes sorry ...
I run Hyperion alpha 8 on raspberry 3b+
Hi @Lord-Grey , thanks for your reply
Yes I enabled Entertainment API Flag.
My config is attach to this post
14 views of my config , someone have a tips to improve my synchronisation ?
@gogui63 Sorry, that it took so long....
One thing comes into mind is that the network updates to the bridge are not performing, i.e. you might have a bad network connection from rpi to Hue-Bridge or Hue-Bridge to the lights.
Looking at your hyperion configuration you might want trying to
a) disable Smoothing
b) Increase the Capture Frequency of your capture device. It is currently only 10Hz.
Does this change your experience?
Do not apologize You do a lot for the community !
I have a dedicated Asus routeur (RT-AC86U) for my network , the raspberry is 4 meters to the routeur , it seems not been too far ?
I disabled smoothing, increased Capture frequency to 40 Hz, I should increase more or not ? But I didn't see less latency
(After some tests , it's better to activate smoothing, but i ve more or less 1second between image and color on my hue plays)
My setup :
Shield -> home theater -> split -> raspberry (proc and ram : OK)
I-> videoprojector
Did you check, if the latency is occurring in the Pre-View too?
You might need considering that the delay is already introduced before the signal hits Hyperion.
No lag in preview, but I ve 1 second or more between preview and real image that i see on my video projector
Ok. You are saying that the Hue Lights are ahead of the picture (not behind, as I assumed according to your initial description)?
Nop, to be clear :
I see a blue picture first on my screen, one second later hue plays display a blue light .
I can upload a small video it's necessary ?
Hi! Registering just to bump this issue, as I'm also seeing it on a Philips Hue Entertainment setup with a Pi 4B running Hyperion 2.0.0-alpha.8.
Seems to be related to slow image resolution / scale processing for USB capture input - The higher the input resolution, the higher the delay.
My USB capture device defaults to 1920x1080, and this leads to an approx. 1s delay between the video feed shown in the preview and the Hue lights actually changing colour. Changing the 'Size Decimation' value has no effect on the delay. Smoothing is turned off.
I fixed this locally by forcing my capture device into a low resolution (720x480) and setting 'Size Decimation' to 1, so that Hyperion isn't doing any resolution/scaling work at all. This removed all lag and gave me near-instant response between the preview and the lights.
Let me know if you require any logs or would like me to add a GitHub issue.
