PSU question

  • yes, make sure you also connect al GND together 》》》 common ground.

Raspi likes it to run on 5.3 volts DC, ledstrip (most of them) can also run slightly higher than 5.0 volts.

You can adjust the PSU then to 5.3 volts.

(Search for technical data of your strip first)

If you don't do this you have undervoltage warnings from the Raspi when connected to a HDMI screen.

Also the Raspi cant run higher than 600Mhz arm tops.

So even when you overclock the Raspi from default 700Mhz arm to lets say 900Mhz or more.... doesnt work.

look for schematics for Raspi/ledstrip/PSU in my older posts, i am now at mobile and cant share this. :)
