Not starting on Boot

  • Hay,

my Hyperion is not starting, when I put the RPI Zero on.
I have to do that manually over Hypercon (First Stop, the Start) or over SSH ("service hyperion restart").
    Im using Raspbian Lite.

In the Log is only this:

    Code
    SSH Traffic:
    ssh connected
    ssh out: sudo journalctl -u hyperion.service 2>/dev/null
ssh in: -- No entries --

    My Config:

    Thanks for your help!

  • Today i tried using Raspbien Jessie Lite instead of Stretch Lite. On Jessie it works just fine!

This solved my problem. Running a Raspberry Pi Zero W, Hyperion now starts on boot/power up.

  • I'm having the same problem on a raspberry pi 1b with the newest version of Stretch lite. Installed the latest available version of raspbian Jessie lite http://downloads.raspberrypi.o…raspbian_lite-2017-07-05/
This seems to work but it stops working again after I update the system with apt-get update/upgrade. It only works with a non up-to-date install of Jessie.

When running stretch the hyperion service is running after startup but the LEDs don't turn on until the service is restarted.
I'm happy to provide more information if needed.
