Can't turn off menu grabbing

  • I tried everything, but I simply can't turn off menu grabbing. It it not problem for menus, but for subtitles. When subtitles appear on the screen, Hyperion turns off complete bottom and top horizontal LEDs.

    // KODI CHECK CONFIG
    "xbmcVideoChecker" :
    {
    "xbmcAddress" : "127.0.0.1",
    "xbmcTcpPort" : 9090,
    "grabVideo" : true,
    "grabPictures" : true,
    "grabAudio" : true,
    "grabMenu" : false,
    "grabPause" : true,
    "grabScreensaver" : true,
    "enable3DDetection" : true
    },

  • ok,, more infos... which system do you use? your config too

    I am using Raspberry Pi 3. I use to have Raspberry Pi 2 for one year without any problems with Hyperion. I just bought new version and I can solve title problem on 21:9 videos.

  • not problem for menus, but for subtitles

    I never looked closer to subtitles, i know that the OSD overlay is ignored. In case you could move the subtitles slighty higher in kodi options or reduce for Hyperion the grabbed areas at the top and bottom.

    Hope this helps a little bit.

    I already did that. It helps, but that is only partial solution.
    In old version of Openelec and OSMC combined with old version of Hyperion everything was perfect.
    I still can't find out why option don't grabb menu doesn't work with new OS and new Hyperion...

  • I have the same issue, but i´m not using the internal framegrabber.
    RPI 3 + OSMC + external usb grabber.
    Internal grabber disabled on Hyperion config, V4L2 enabled.
    Tried enabling and disabling menu grabber option in kodi checker, same result: menu always captured, and also OSD....

    • Offizieller Beitrag
