USB LEDs for PC

    Forgive me if it sounds stupid but here goes:


    Most guides on the internet use WS2812B LED strips which have a strange connector that only fits to Raspberry Pi. What if I want to install Hyperion on a PC and use QT grabber, and connect LED strips to PC also? Do I have to buy some WS2812B-to-USB adapter? How does this work?

    Buy an ESP8266 or ESP32, flash WLED software. Then you can send the data to WLED via LAN/Wlan from the PC and become the WS2812B connected to the ESP and controlled. Better than WS2812B are the successors SK6812 RGBW-NW.

    Because I know some users who have bought the Dreamcolor set, some of them for the 3rd time now because something is defective. One of them was close to a room fire.

    And WS2812b has a bluish white.
