Hi guys I have a strange issue and I hope you can help me.
First of all my ambilight is made by rpi3, ezcap 269 and apa102 (lightberry leds) and hyperion.ng alpha8
My problem is that my leds remaining always on even if I shot down tv, decoder or other sources. The same if I turn off the rpi3.
The unique way to turn off the leds is to stop hyperion process from the web app. I also activated cec detection and signal detection but nothing...
Please help me.
Thx
Leds are always on...

Hey thx but it’s what I do every time and it’s annoying... I would like to solve it.
Would be nice to have leds off when no signal is received by the rpi3. Maybe there’s something I can set in web interface, I don’t know... -
I would assume that you are running APA with rewrite time > 0.
Then you might be affected by the following bug: https://github.com/hyperion-project/hyperion.ng/issues/1007Two options:
a) Wait for the next release
b) Build hyperion from the latest master yourself -
Well since I'm not able to build Hyperion by myself, I'll wait next release... is it far to be released?

Hey Tyler,
I'm running the same Hyperion version with a Rpi1 and I'm able to shut down the LEDs just by putting the Apple TV to sleep or when the Apple TV goes to sleep by itself it also disconnects the LEDs automatically.
Hope this helps!-Los

Hi thx for the answer. This is exactly what I’m looking for... my issue is that what you described doesn’t happen with my system. When I put to sleep all of my devices, leds staying on showing random lights... the unique way to solve is to disable Hyperion by the web app

When I put to sleep all of my devices, leds staying on showing random lights.
That should be fixed with alpha 9.
Give it a try... -
Hi @Tyler983 Alpha9 is now out..!
If you are using iPhone, you could also use shortcuts as a workaround to stop/start the service!
With the new iOS these can be placed right on the primary screen
...I believe the service is named different with RPiThx a lot, I'll give it a try for sure!!!

Give it a try...@Lord-Grey Unfortunately, I installed the new build but the problem is still there... when I shot down my system leds remain on. I really don't know what to do

I wish I could have the answer for you. How is the power wired in the Pi and LEDs?
Why if you turn off the Pi you still sending power to the LEDs? -

My leds are 83 apa102 lightberry, they are plugged in the rpi3 through USB port and alimented by a 10A charger. Pi is powered by his own "charger".
Well I don't shot down my pi, it's always powered on. Anyway, if I shot down the pi, problem still remain... even if my ezcap269 is powered by the pi through the usb -
@Tyler983 How do you shutdown your pi?
I don't shutdown my pi, it's always powered on. But if I do it, after I shutdown all my system, leds remain anyway on -
None can help me? Alpha9 didn't solved my issue....

My friend! Connect the power to the splitter from the usb TV. When you turn off the TV, all the LEDs will be black. -
My friend, I wish it was so simple... I just obtain the same result. I think the problem could be in the light berry arduino usb led controller

I have news.
I just bought an arduino uno to drive my leds. I want to abandone lightberry usb system that's the cause of my issues.
Now, i read a lot of threads, watched videos about how to connect wires between leds and arduino board, but there are different way to do it and i don't know what's better for me.
Assuming i have apa102, is here someone can show me how to connect my leds to the board in the right way?
is this the right sketch i must load on the board https://github.com/hyperion-pr…ino/adalight/adalight.ino or there's something new i haven't seen?
Should i modify something in the .ino script before to load the sketch?
Thx for the patience...
